The beginning

Yesterday evening I discovered that season 7 of Weeds had finally been posted on Netflix. Even though I worked all day today I had already gotten to episode 12 by 8pm tonight. This made me realize that I need to do a bit more with my life. I have the time to do what I need I just don't utilize that time. So I've decided to start a daily challenge with myself and this blog will be recording my progress. I was never good at journals or diaries so I'm going to cross my fingers and hope I do better this time.

I've got several daily challenges. Every day I will...
  • Do one exercise thing. This can be somethings simple like walking to or from work (1.7 miles) or taking the dog on an extra long walk. Or it will be actually working out. I just want to stay active.
  • Make one healthy eating choice. Some ideas are.. drink only water, get a full serving of fruits and vegetables, and eat an adequate/healthy breakfast.
  • Do one thing for my brain. Play soduku, read a quality book, do some logic problems, etc.
  • Get one thing accomplished. Clean the bathroom, do laundry, clean and paint the shelving unit I found at Goodwill a few months ago. Something along those lines.
  • Twice a week I will go out and do something that I enjoy. Go to an art show I've been looking forward to, go ice skating, or to a new exhibit at a museum. 
So... It's time to go to bed since I need to be up in 6 hours.
